HARRI JONES

ABOUT ME

Harrison Alfred Jones, born to parents Derek and Clare. Growing up as a child I was always outside, whether that was in the local woods building dens and survival bases for the "upcoming apocalypse" or playing a good old fashion game of hide and seek! As I got older into my early teens, I started to form a love for technology and computer games! Sadly not going out as much but instead spending a lot of time self teaching my way through design classes and dabbling in different programs and of course computer games. Spending most of my early gaming career playing either Call Of Duty or World of Warcraft, gaming is still something even now that holds a special place in my heart. I always had have a drive and want to learn and understand things, I have always been wanting to expand my own personal portfolio, whether that be making Marketing Videos, Website Design or Brochure design and print. I have always strived to bring new talents and abilities into my life.

As I grew and got into my late teens, I decided that I had had enough of England and wanted to do something completely different. so at 18 I booked a flight and went out to Australia. I spent a year out there, meeting new people and gaining invaluable life experiences. Working through various roles, some more tame than others. I eventually flew back to the UK to start up a career and settle down a bit more.

However the call to travel has always been sitting there waiting to come to the foreground once again, and now here we are... Canada! Ready to see what my next chapter holds.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Having travelled and work from around the age of 14. I have done a vast variety of jobs. Mainly in the customer service sectors as well as some in the private business route.
Starting work early I began working in a small clothing store in my local town, where I quickly learnt the value of customer service and sale management. I eventually moved on from there and at 16 I was working for a local pub just down the road from the town, where I was in a client facing waiting position, eventually working up to becoming one of the head Bar Tenders entrusted with opening and closes of the business and overseeing day to day duty managements.

I stayed in hospitality for the next few years, where I worked up to Assistant Manager of a 70 cover restaurant + 100 cover garden area. I learnt here the qualities of team management and delegation as well as the importance of customer service and time managements.

My most recent position was as a Project Management coordinator at White Chalk - here I was in charge of leading projects from start to finish and managing the designers that were working on them at the time. Eventually I expanded the business catalogue and we brought in made in house website designs which I lead as both the designer and project manager for. We ended up completing on around 5 websites within the first year of this, as well as various other projects attached to this.
